I remember the name Grant Tire and Automotive used frequently around the house when I was growing up. Every time we had a car that stopped working, sputtered, made a funny sound, or just didn’t feel right my parents headed to “Grant’s”. I remember the smell of new tires when you walked into the lobby and how there was always a few people reading newspapers as they were waiting on their cars to be fixed. I remember the respect that my parents had for ‘Mr. Grant’ as they always addressed him as such and never chose to call him ‘Steve’ out of that respect. I watched for years as countless people walked in and out of the lobby of Grant Tire and Automotive with that same respect and watched how Mr. Grant treated them the same way and always took time to stop what he was working on to address customers while listening intently to ensure that every question was answered and every concern was resolved. It’s for this unmatched caliber of relationship that Mr. Grant shares with his customers that we appreciate Mr. Grant and Grant Tire and Automotive!
What Makes a Good Business
Although a lot of my experiences with Grant Tire and Automotive are from my youth, I still go to “Grant’s” every time that I have an issue with my vehicles. It’s a lot farther from my current home in Bristol, but it’s worth the drive to know that you can trust someone completely and that they will not try to take advantage of you. I could go on for hours with stories about how I took my car to a new place and they gave me a $1,000+ quote and then I proceeded to take it to Grant Tire and Automotive where Mr. Grant told me it would be about $45 to fix an issue.
It’s a lot farther from my current home in Bristol, but it’s worth the drive to know that you can trust someone completely and that they will not try to take advantage of you.
Mr. Grant is exactly that; someone you can trust and know will never take advantage of you. He serves as a glowing example of what it takes to be a good business man, leader, and person. It’s why Grant Tire and Automotive won the KOSBE’s 2018 Pillar of Excellence award and it’s why BIG appreciates them!
