GOD Centered Agency

Centering our business around God doesn’t mean we will ever push Christianity on our clients. Being Christ-centered means we model our interactions and output on biblical principles. The best way to follow Christ’s example is to love each other and to show that love in everything we do.

Hi, this is Matt Haynes the creative director at BIG. I wanted to complete this article from my own perspective so that I could speak to you on a personal level.

Let’s face it, business is business and I cannot get lost in thinking that I or our team is doing anything to further the cause of Christ, though I would love to. We started this business to support our families and each other. Our pricing is meant to allow us the freedom to approach each project to it’s fullest and initiate the best of the best for each problem or need. Sadly, when we think of Godly organizations our first thought is to expect cheap, how silly. Following Christ in business is not about being cheap, easy to work with, or even a good person. Instead, I think it means that you focus on what matters with stalwart prioritization. When I begin a new project I am not trying to simply complete a job, make a paycheck, or spout Christian terms to our clients…. I am there to serve a PURPOSE.

I start every engagement through honest communication (sugar coating is never a good idea so I generally begin the conversation with “I need you to know we’re not cheap, because of that I need to understand your situation so that I can determine if our assistance will bring you significantly more value than you are required to invest.”) so that both the client and I can build trust. Once we have the beginnings of a RELATIONSHIP I can start to ask pertinent questions and gain CLARITY on the circumstance of the need and context of the request. Finally, the PURPOSE of the request has been revealed. Both parties now have CLARITY on the project and can agree on the PURPOSE of the solution. Personally, we can all improve our lives if we attempt to qualify our requests/wants/needs by understanding the core of why they exist in the first place.

In my opinion, we make so many mistakes in our personal lives because we give in to the requests our flesh makes without understanding the PURPOSE. God craves a RELATIONSHIP with us so that we ourselves can gain CLARITY and serve/understand our own God-given PURPOSE.
